First day back

As expected, it took several hours for my work PC to install updates and load all my emails from the past four months. Thank goodness I only had to call the Help Desk twice (for two separate issues). It felt really good to be back at work after all I've been through, to do something 'normal'. And, I did not need a nap at 2pm!

A few people from the Admin team called/emailed/OC'd me to see how I was doing. I didn't really run into that many people in the hallways, elevators, even the restroom, so I didn't have to worry about people asking me where I've been or what's that on my neck.

Nice surprise: I'll be in San Francisco next week (Tue and Wed) for work! I've got a lot of catching up to do with all the changes that have been going on since I left, and see where my projects are going (and where they've been during my absence) - somethings are just better done in person than over the phone. I don't get to see my boss that often, so I always jump at the chance to have some face-time with her. Anyway, I got the Ok from her to fly up a couple of days earlier, which works out well for me since two of my sisters (Viv, and LindaMay and her hubby, Phill) will be in SF this weekend. I'm also hoping to visit a few other people, especially KT since her bday is next week. Not sure how tight my schedule will be on Tue/Wed when I'm working, but I hope I can fit it all in.

The soreness from rock climbing yesterday has expanded from my forearms and fingers to my triceps and delts. It wasn't so bad after work, but it was really bad after run club - I could not turn the steering wheel without feeling the pain! Holy smokes! I hope tomorrow is less afflictive, although pilates class tomorrow night could still make things worse.
